Full Spectrum FAQs
What is full-spectrum CBD oil?
Full-spectrum CBD oil is one of the three main types of cannabidiol oil – the others being CBD isolate and broad-spectrum CBD.
A full-spectrum CBD oil is extracted in a way that retains all the beneficial extracts that the Cannabis sativa plant has to offer, including essential oils, terpenes, flavonoids, and other cannabinoids.
Some full-spectrum CBD products contain up to 0.3% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – a cannabinoid (chemical substance) that produces the “high” sensation. But because there is only a trace amount of it, it’s not enough for users to experience psychoactive effects after taking CBD oil.
What is full-spectrum CBD oil used for?
People use CBD oil for all kinds of reasons, most notably to:
- aid sleep
- alleviate pain
- control seizures
- improve skin
- provide muscle spasm relief
- reduce anxiety
- treat psychotic disorders
Some studies suggest that CBD can benefit human health on its own, whilst other research implies that CBD’s therapeutic effects are stronger when combined with other cannabis compounds.
This is what’s known as the entourage effect, a widely studied and accepted phenomenon in cannabis science where the compounds found in the Cannabis sativa all work in synergy.
Ultimately, this means full-spectrum CBD oil provides greater benefits than pure CBD (also known as CBD isolate).
How does full-spectrum CBD oil make you feel?
Here at Peak Organics, we can assure you that all of our full-spectrum CBD oils are made from 100% natural ingredients and contain legal levels of THC which, in most cases, is undetectable.
As a result of them containing trace amounts of the psychoactive cannabinoid, the chances of you getting high, feeling intoxicated, or failing a drugs test are slim. Be mindful though, if you take a large dose of a high-potency product, you may experience a euphoric effect, so always read the label carefully.
Full-spectrum CBD oil is generally safe to use, but potential side effects include:
- Dry mouth
- Diarrhoea
- Reduced appetite
- Drowsiness
- Fatigue
